Came in for breakfast. The food and coffee were wonderful! First place I've been to that didn't charge extra for egg whites. Thank you!! You shouldn't pay the price to be healthy. Service was excellent
great place to grab something for breakfast or lunch before heading to the beach. they had fresh juices and prices where reasonable. if you are in the area id say give it a try.
Good and friendly service! This small place is great for a quick bite -- food is okay, selection is varied :)
The croquette predarada sandwhich didnt even have any ham in the croquette. Cold fries. Not the best place.
Affordable and delicious breakfast spot (cuban). Cortaditos are delicious 👍🏼Fresh squeezed OJ, fresh coconut water and some juices.Service is fast and friendly.Dont let the appearance fool you.
Looking for the best "café con leche", orange juice made completely with real oranges and great breakfast? This is your place!Great meals! Must try!
Onions was good also the plantians was good the sauce on the shrimp could of been better the pork steak was good I definitely enjoy the black beans
Great place to eat authentic Cuban food. Good portions and tasty food. They serve freshly squeezed juices. My favorite. A walk away from the beach.I usually order to go and have a picnic on the beach. Love this place. Street parking is available only...so can be a challenge.
I would categorize this place as a local diner with Cuban food... at reasonable prices. You get what you pay for. In terms of price point, average meal comes out to what you would be paying at Subways next door. In terms on quality, probably not the best meal you had... but probably the most affordable option around here. I loved the fries 🍟... it was made perfectly.
Large portions. Good service. And food came fast
Nice little restaurant for a quick, fresh meal. Lots of items to choose from on the menu. Sidewalk dining tables are an option to sit and enjoy your meal.
Food was disgusting! Bread in my turkey sandwich tasted like plastic, two thin slices of turkey and a lot of lettuce. Fresh squeezed orange juice was mixed with water, I saw how server added sugar in my glass to make it tasty (it didn’t work). Stay away from this place
Great little place! Pleasant Staff and great location close to the Mid Beach.
It’s cheap but the food quality is on par with its price. If you are picky, avoid this place, otherwise it’s a good way to not overspend.
Cuban coffee and toast is the best!! You'll find fresh and affordable food here.
Great place!! Tasty home food at very reasonable prices!! That was the best part of staying in the area for me. Look at that amazing chicken soup for $2.99, had to take my main dish to go 😉
Good food for the low price. FYI, they automatically add a tip to the bill
Best Cuban food at fair prices
Got the Cubano classico, banana milk shake and fries. Very good food. Very good prices. The picture is all that's remains. Highly recommend
Such a good spot for breakfast and Cuban coffee. Simple lunch counter spot. Bit greasy but love that sometimes
Love it !! It is just a couple of streets from our Airbnb .. it's easy to get there, bilingual waiter's, delicious food. Definitely recommend the empanadas and natural juices !!
Reasonably priced, food was good, but doesn't seem like the cleanest place.
Lunch special was on point. Be careful you my feel 3 or 4 months pregnant after
Ordered the 4 chicken tenders for $10 they were straight up nasty. They need to change the recipe. Was undercooked and the breading just fell off, had to force myself to eat, didn’t finish, because i was starving and this place was close to my hotel. The employees are very nice so that at least made up for the bad experience.
The fries were barely warm or cooked. ask The fosters upon ordering to have ketchup and Mayo on the side she brings out none of them. When I asked her to bring it she gave me an attitude. The turkey club sandwich was mediocre.Quantity was definitely good but would not go again for the quality.
The cubano regular was so great! Also gotten a passion fruit juice that was so good. Also the customer service was so nice and very sweet
Freshly prepared food that is very tasty. Generous portions. Friendly service. If we ever returned to this area, we would consider returning to Tropical Beach Cafe for their excellent Cuban food.
I went for dinner at around 8 and they began service good, but after it got a little busy the wait times were horrible. I had to go inside to pay my bill after a long wait. I enjoyed their food a lot, but the desserts we're not good. The flan and the three milk cake just tasted like powdered milk and we're definitely not worth the price. Overall I expect more from them as a Cuban restaurant.
Great food for the price. Simple menu, but satisfying. The restaurant staff was nice.
Overall it's a decent spot but they could do a lot better. The service was super slow but the servers were very nice. I had a guava pastelito that was very good. The cortadito was also good but I didn't like that it was served in a clear plastic juice cup. My husband had a banana shake that was more like a juice with way too much sugar.
No thrills hole in the wall place for good food. It’s very cheap, and very good. Had the chicken empanada, incredibly soft and flavorful, and only 2 dollars a pop. Also had the sirloin steak, juicy and all so terribly food. Comes with two sides. If nearby, good for a quick pop in for some eats. Highly recommend. Have realistic expectations on service and decor - it’s clean and does the job. On, and there’s garlic by the door for those wary of vampires.
Great people, great, fast, service, super friendly. Love hole in the wall family places. I had flank steak, sweet plantains, black beans, salad, Cuban coffee.
I am amazed with the portion, prices, and good service of this place. I ordered the huevos con salchicha which came with coffee, long cuban toast, and fries. It's hard to find a place like this. The waitress was very friendly and brought plate quickly and warm.If you want an actual full breakfast for cheap, this is your place.
They are blocking the sidewalk with tables in the middle of it . Tables are full of customers eating . People can’t walk through ! This is unsafe, and unacceptable!
The coffee, food and staff are amazing
Nice place to eat some fast food. It was very tasty and the service was very friendly :-)
Small, local cafe that serves breakfast and sandwiches. I had the Elena, turkey with strawberry jelly and cream cheese, and you might think that would be weird but it was delicious! I also had the cafe con leche, which was amazing, oh so yummy coffee. My husband had a Cuban sandwich and said it was very good. Service was excellent!
No frills Cuban diner. Good food and great value
Excellent when you factor everything in. We were looking for an affordable lunch after walking the beach and found this place. Small diner with a strong selection. We had sandwiches and smoothies and they were delicious. The sandwiches were gracious in size and included fries for under $10.
This was an awesome Cafe! The staff here is really friendly, and probably the best service of any restaurant visited in the Miami Beach area. The food is Cuban inspired, and has all the flavors and taste one would expect. They are also reasonably priced. The cafes are made both American and Cuban style. I enjoyed having a cortadito cafe and it was delicious! if you have to pick one place to have a cafe and a good meal in the Miami Beach area, tropical Beach Cafe is an absolute must of a place to visit!
Great place, cheap but food is good. Coffee is include with the breakfast. I ate here 3-4 times in the last week and sometimes the gratuity is included sometimes is not.
Very good and cheap local place. We ate here breakfasts every day. Very friendly stuff! Definitely recommend.
Place was great! A lot of good comfort food with really great prices! I stopped in for breakfast and was very happy. The coffee was great and they have fresh squeezed orange that was amazing! Definitely stop in if you're in the area.
This was the first restaurant that came up on my search for Cuban food. It was edible, but not something I would recommend. Staff was very pleasant and helpful which was the bright spot.
The best in This price. Very helpful And Nice stuff.
The food and service was phenomenal! Definitely on my list of places to revisit next time I'm in town. Food was authentic and delicious and prepared just fast enough so as we finished one dish the next would come out but we were never rushed. Highly recommend the chicken empanadas and fresh squeezed mango juice!
Why I went here a second time in as many days; is the real question. The first time we went there we got coffee and wanted breakfast but after 45 minutes of being ignored we left. The next time we ordered and we got the wrong food. But instead if hunt down the waitress for water or the correct order; we ate it. It was ok. Now I'm full and dreaming about the Stella joint and how sad I am to have wasted one if my few meals while in South beach.
I ordered scrambled eggs with bacon and a side of pancakes. The breakfast was tasteless and a waste of money and time. The syrup for pancakes tasted sour. The eggs tasted horrible. The toast with the eggs was a cheap version of bread I have ever had. Coffee and the staff were great.
DO NOT GO THERE !!! SEE MY PICTURE !!Now that you got my attention, it was the worst experience I’ve ever had.I ordered a fish cooked on plancha, the fish was half cooked, kind of raw inside and I suppose that it was a frozen fish. They serve it with one ugly slice of tomato and 3 pieces of salads. My girlfriend had a palomilla beefsteak, the meat seems rotten so we ask to change, the waitress were impolite but agreed to change for the fish.THEY TOOK THE EXACT SAME SLICE OF TOMATO TO PUT IT IN THE NEW PLATE (I can tell it by the pieces of beef on the tomato). This is disgusting, this place is disgustingThe restaurant knows it because they automatically add a 15% gratuity on their billsThey even tried to make us pay for water.
I really like this tiny place. It's a window inside Caribbean food and ambiance. While in Miami Beach this comfort food place is an excellent choice for affordable food and casual yet friendly service. Good coffee and tasty tropical juices.
